Nicholls, Phil
Phil Nicholls was born in Cornwall. His photography book, Classic Cafés is a study of London's "greasy spoon" café culture. His photographs appear in The Little Bookroom's The Traditional Shops and Restaurants of London by Eugenia Bell.
Nichols, Clive
Clive Nichols, author and photographer of The RHS Guide to Photographing Plants and Gardens, was the 1993 Garden Writers Guild Photographer of the Year and in 1994 won the Guild Award for the Best Specialist Gardening Book.
Niland, Deborah
Deborah Niland (Tom’s mother’s twin sister) is one of Australia's most loved illustrators. Her wonderful depiction of the imaginary hippo in There's a Hippopotamus on Our Roof Eating Cake – still in print after 30 years – earned her the prestigious Leipzig Bronze Medal, and many of her other books have been family favourites for years.

Northway, Jennifer
Jennifer Northway has written and illustrated a number of acclaimed picture books. Her book Get Lost, Laura! was shortlisted for the Smarties Award. In addition to her own work, Jennifer has illustrated books for many well-known authors, including Jill Paton Walsh, Floella Benjamin and Mary Hoffman. Her book with Mary Hoffman, Nancy No-Size, was also shortlisted for the Smarties Award. Her work has been televised in England, Australia, New Zealand and throughout Europe.
