Sarah Adams studied Art and Design at Hull College of Art. After graduating she completed a post-graduate in illustration at Central St Martins School of Art in London. Adl, Kamyar
KAMYAR ADL was born and brought up in Iran. After finishing school Kamyar spent a short while at Azad University studying photography but he soon left to do his military service in some desert near the Iran/Iraq border. He never went back to university but he did some photography jobs, one of which being taking photos of old doors and windows in downtown Tehran for a famous Iranian architect. Then at the age of 25 he married Shirin and moved to England. .....

Patrice Aggs was born and brought up in the United States, but now lives in West Sussex, England. She has illustrated over thirty-five picture books for children. In the early 1980s she was part of the team which produced the animated film The Snowman.
Patrice is currently writing picture books, illustrating and printmaking. She lives on a farm in West Sussex with her husband and two teenagers. .....

Jessica Ahlberg, daughter of the acclaimed author/illustrator team, Janet and Allan Ahlberg, studied fine art at Winchester College and has gone on to illustrate several books for children. She likes, among other things, writing letters, looking at maps, reading books, doing DIY and making cakes. She lives in Brighton and loves walking by the sea and sometimes swimming in it.

POLLY ALAKIJA is a British artist living and working in South Africa. Before that, she lived for fifteen years in Nigeria. Her paintings have been widely exhibited in Africa and Europe, and her previous books include Catch That Goat for Barefoot Books. This is her first book for Frances Lincoln. She lives in Tewkesbury, Gloscestershire.

Jonathan Allen has created many wonderful picture books for children. His international success is based on his observant wit, appealing art and his child-like sense of fun. Jonathan lives happily in a quiet village in South Cambridgeshire with his partner, his two children, a dog, a cat, two guinea pigs, several guitars and three computers.

Sandrine Alouf is a French photographer whose photographs appear in Paris Chic & Trendy and Boutique and Chic Hotels in Paris (both The Little Bookroom). Her installation of photographs of clouds along the platform of the RER Luxemboug station in Paris was called "À ciel ouvert" ("Open to the sky").

Matthew trained at Saint Martin's School of Art in London and has been a photographer for twelve years. Commercial clients include Nike, ICI Dulux, Dunlop, and Royal Mail as well as a number of City & Wall Street names. Arts clients include the Arts Council, British Council, South Bank Centre, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Faber & Faber. Kerry Argent is one of Australia's finest and most highly acclaimed illustrators. Her first picture book One Woolly Wombat, published while she was still at art school, went on to become an international bestseller.
