Tom Niland Champion

Tom Niland Champion is a terrific new talent in the world of picture books, and from a famous Australian literary family. He is the grandson of Ruth Park and D'Arcy Niland, and the son of Kilmeny Niland, with whom he originally collaborated to create this story. Tom (194cm) has been writing children's books since he was approximately 56.8cm. The Tall Man and the Twelve Babies is based on a true story, involving a full plane stuck on the runway in blistering heat, 12 wily French babies and one tall author stuck in the middle of it all. After an exciting role as a journalist in Budapest, Tom currently works as a radio reporter with SBS in Sydney.

Tall Man and the Twelve Babies

A tall tall man has twelve babies to look after in his tiny tiny apartment. It's not surprising that trouble ensues when the door slams shut and the tall man is on one side of the door with the six girls and the six boys are on the other side … An hilarious triumph from a bestselling family team.
