Marilyn Taylor
Her first novel for young adults, Could This Be Love, I Wondered? (1994) was selected for the 1996 edition of the International Youth Library's White Ravens. It was followed by Could I Love a Stranger?, a sequel containing the fictional diary of a young Jewish girl's life in Nazi Germany, extracts of which are woven through the modern teenage story. The trilogy was completed with Call Yourself a Friend?.
Faraway Home is a new departure for Marilyn, having a strong historical basis and being set in Northern Ireland during the Second World War. It has recently won the prestigious Bisto Book of the Year Award.
