Abanindranath Tagore

Abanindranath Tagore is regarded as the father of India's modern art. Leader of the Revivalist movement and founder of the Indian School of Oriental Art in Kolkatta, Tagore made a key contribution towards ushering in a renaissance in Indian painting in the early 20th century.
