Robert O'Brien

Robert O'Brien was the pen name of Robert C. Conly, who was senior editor of the National Geographic Magazine for over twenty years. He came from New England and had three children and came to writing fiction very late in life: he wrote three novels for children. One of them, Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimh, was made into a very successful film. In 1973 Rober O'Brien died.
