Create Your Own Masterpiece

This volume contains 22 open-ended drawing, colouring, painting and collage projects. All the projects are based on paintings in the National Gallery of Art, Washington, USA. Many of the original paintings are reproduced in full colour, showing exactly how the artists themselves handled the same themes. Each spread focuses on a different part of the journey - the left-hand page has simple information about the place and situation of the journey, plus details of the project for the child to attempt on the right-hand page. Situations include a picnic amongst plants and insects, the desert, a stormy landscape and a farm. The projects relate to paintings by a wide variety of artists, including Copley, Bellini, Van Gogh and Cezanne.
