The Royal Horticultural Society Diary 2013 focuses on works of art done on vellum. Paintings on vellum have a luminosity and richness that is quite unlike those on paper. The diary features works of art on vellum which date mainly from the 18th century and includes paintings by Aubriet (1665-1742), Ehret (1708-70), Bolton (1758-1799), Turpin (1775-1840) and others.
