National Railway Museum Pocket Diary 2012

The National Railway Museum Diary 2012 celebrates the United Kingdom's island status. Illustrated with images of posters used by the railway companies from the 1920s to the 1960s to promote travel to all corners of the British Isles, the subjects include the people making a living from the sea as well as those visiting the coast for pleasure. There are images of the industries that have developed as a result of the sea - ship-building, fishing and trade - as well as views of bustling ports, quaint seaside towns, and quiet fishing villages; all are connected by the railway that links the coast with the rest of the country.



The diary is hard back and illustrated in colour throughout. It is also available in a desk format.
