Over the course of a long career Sandra Lousada has worked as a theatre photographer, a portrait photographer and in the worlds of fashion, beauty and advertising, becoming internationally renowned in all those areas. In her sixties she became fascinated by the new medium of digital photography and the way it could enable her to capture light, movement and colour; and she found a new subject in London, the city she has lived in and loved all her life. Her inspired photographs open our eyes to London as we have never seen it before.

Take a look at 'London Light' by Sandra Lousada. She has now changed course, using her consummate skill and creativity to delve into the exciting world of making light come to life - at night - in obvious as well as abstract forms, adapting the latest technology to the demands of her imagination, imbuing it with human warmth... Sandra has not only put on record a different face of London - one that resonates the colour and chaos of modern city life - but she has also used her considerable talent to to create a poignant tribute to her late husband. - West End Extra

A feast for the eyes that captures the lights, moods and colours of contemporary London. - Kilburn Times

Opens our eyes to a London we haven't seen before in images that verge on the abstract as the wind buffets the lens over long exposures and the rain soaks the camera. - Ham & High

A collection of stunning images that depict our capital city in ways we haven't seen before. London Light offers a new perspective. - SW19

A sense of movement distinguishes many of these photographs from the traditional images of London… London Light should inspire some people to make more adventurous use of digital cameras and others to look anew at the city - or both. - Ham & High

It will open your eyes to a whole new London. - Guide

This is a sumptuous depiction of light on our city's contours. It is an unusual photographic approach that makes a change from the standard coffee-tabley aerial shots or vintage slides and banal London souvenir guides featuring post boxes and phone boxes. - Families
