A collection of living art from Meena tribal homes in Rajasthan, north India, Nurturing Walls focuses on a favourite theme of the artists: animals and their young. Such motifs are inseparable from everyday life, as the Meena women teach their daughters to paint and together decorate the clay and mud walls of their homes. The teeming world of baby animals and their mothers has been carefully recreated here as a series of silkscreen prints of the original artwork and a photo essay on the artists and their community.

The book itself a work of art ... Instead of merely presenting photographs, Nurturing Walls offers the work itself, with the thick brown paper acting as the clay walls of the Meena homes. - Juxtapoz Magazine
