Grace loves Christmas - acting out the nativity story, opening presents, celebrating with Ma, Nana and Paw-Paw. But this Christmas Nana announces they will have visitors from Trinidad. Grace is horrified! She does NOT want to share the day with another little girl she doesn't even know.

But after some wise words from Nana, Grace's generous spirit shines through. And in the end, as they all share a special surprise, Grace thinks it could be the best Christmas ever!

Young readers will savour a satisfying story, greatly enhanced by the vibrant pictures which show the changing feelings of the characters.

- School Librarian

Grace is a wonderful character and everyone warms to her and is drawn into her world through the vibrant and colourful pictures which add so much to the story.

- Parents in Touch

The much loved star of Amazing Grace is back for a touching new story about a very special time of year... A warm-hearted story full of the excitement of a very special celebration.

- Lovereading

Strong, exuberant pictures, full of bustle, detail and character complement and extend this seasonal story.

- Carousel

5 stars: What a treat it is to see Grace’s buoyant smile beaming confidently from a book jacket once more. Grace’s wit, talent, and determination are all there expressing the fully rounded character we have come to know in the series of books that began with Amazing Grace. The new illustrators have done a fantastic job in giving a fresh look to the pictures while keeping to the original feel of Caroline Binch’s work. They have retained the tradition of vividly coloured realism with powerful characterisations seamlessly and this is quite a feat. The blending is done in the writing too, of course. It’s not easy to maintain continuity with a character after very long breaks, but Mary Hoffman makes it seem that way with her deft touch and consummate skill.

- Books for Keeps

About welcoming others to your home with the message, told with a lot of role-play and clothes from the dressing-up box, that Christmas is about people and sharing.
