Joyce’s collection of 15 short stories begins with stories of youth and progresses to middle age and then to old age, culminating in The Dead, (which wasmade into a film starring Anjelica Huston).
This is much more approachable Joyce than the Joyce of Ulysses; the language is quite simple and there is a great emphasis on geographic details of Dublin, so that anyone reading it will be able to identify with the locations.
