The Suffolk coast has a varied landscape including old-fashioned seaside towns, unspoilt fishing villages and rolling farmland. Its 40 miles of Heritage Coast are almost all in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The increasingly fashionable resort of Aldeburgh combines fine restaurants and art galleries against a backdrop of a strong musical tradition, with Benjamin Britten's world-renowned Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts. Not far away is the RSPB nature reserve at Minsmere. Felixstowe retains much of its charm as a seaside destination, while Framlington, dominated by its remarkable Norman castle, was recently voted the number one place to live in the country by Country Life. Local photographer Jon Gibbs captures the magic of this remarkable stretch of coastline with his evocative images with accompanying text.

Jon Gibbs whisks you away for a tour of his vivid and beautiful stomping ground. Theimages are excellent with care and dedication clearly going into every shot… A really lovely book. - Amateur Photographer

A reminder of seaside days out, bracing winter walks, lazy summer strolls with the family, Sunday afternoon drives. But most of all it's reminder of how lucky we are to live with this precious and fragile coastline on our doorsteps. - Eastern Daily Press

Despite the charming and at times dramaic landscapes, what stands out most in this book is Gibbs' expert handling of composition and light. His photographs, often taken at dusk or sunrise, capture this English coastal landscape in an uncharacteristically luminous and colourful wa; never have I seen such vibrant and rich portrayals of these often grey lands. This inviting, attaractive and illuminating book would make a great addition to any coffee table. - Outdoor Photography

A delightful collection of photographs, uncovering one of the most dramatic and interesting coastlines of Britain. It captures the British seaside at its best, both quaintly charming and breathtakingly beautiful. - Britain
